Billy Goat Tavern is a legendary Chicago tavern with a rich history that is known all over the world. Modus Marketing Group was entrusted with keeping their history alive and telling their story to a new generation of fans.
The tavern’s original owner Billy “Goat” Sianis placed a curse on the Chicago Cubs during the 1945 World Series that wasn’t broken until the Cubs won the 2016 World Series.

Billy Goat Tavern was also the inspiration for Saturday Night Live’s well-known Olympia Cafe skit – starring John Belushi,  Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.

With its subterranean location, Billy Goat tavern has also served as a favorite journalists hangout for Chicago newspaper legends like Mike Royko.
Modus Marketing Group manages Billy Goat’s social media on a daily basis, interacting with fans and followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
A new website was designed and developed by Modus Marketing Group that captures the unique vibe of Billy Goat Tavern. The website is built on a WordPress platform and is fully responsive.
One of the most important tasks assigned to Modus Marketing Group has been to keep an archive of this historic tavern. We have photographed every corner of the tavern and documented every story, every legend.
